Question of the Week: The Challenge for Australian Skepticism
Every week we ask a question of our audience to stimulate discussion and critical thinking about an issue or topic relating to science, skepticism, technology or religion. Our favourite comments are discussed on this week’s episode of our podcast, The Pseudoscientists!
This month our Perspectives focus is “Australian skepticism”, so what better topic to ask a question about? Skepticism has been an organised force in Australia for many decades — but now, with the Internet providing greater reach and participation than ever before, it might be time to ask:
What is the biggest challenge facing the Australian skeptical community?
Do we need to focus on anti-vaccinationists? Or perhaps science education is a priority? Does religion not get enough attention? Or maybe psychics and ghost-hunters have become a real problem? What should we do? Let us know in the comments!
