Question of the Week: Best Science Jokes
Every week we ask a question of our readers, to stimulate discussion and critical thinking about an issue or topic relating to science, skepticism, technology or religion. Our favourite comments are discussed on our weekly podcast, The Pseudoscientists.
Science is routinely perceived as dry and humourless, but — because they are actually people (shocking, right?) — scientists do have a sense of humour, as do non-scientists who are into science. So there are plenty of jokes about science out there: but which ones are the best? Sadly, because comedy is pretty subjective, we can’t answer that question scientifically (although people have tried), but we can ask for your opinions. That’s almost as good.
What is your favourite science joke?
It can be your own joke, someone else’s (although let us know the source, if possible), a long joke, a short joke, a terrible (amazing) pun, or even a comedy routine… Videos welcome! Let us know in the comments!
