Question of the Week: Scientific Breakthroughs in 2013
Since Episode 64, The Pseudoscientists podcast has had a segment where we ask our listeners what they think about a particular issue, in the form of a question. Past questions have included “What is the best argument for the existence of God?”, “What do you think is the definition of ‘life’?” and “Should genetically-modified food be labelled?” A week after the question is asked, we read out some of the most thought-provoking answers on the show.
Now that this blog has relaunched, we’re expanding the scope of the segment and opening these weekly questions up to our readers here, with weekly posts (like this one!) dedicated to the question we pose on the podcast. Post comments, have debates, get into arguments with each other — we want discussion! We’ll still read out responses on the show, but this format allows for a back-and-forth dynamic that couldn’t exist before.
Anyway, this post is devoted to the question asked on Episode 71:
What scientific breakthroughs or discoveries do you think will happen in 2013?
Have it out in the comments! Our favourite responses will be read out on Episode 72.
